Only people with Owner role have the permission to invite people to the team.
The TGR-WRT Customer Motorsport Platform enables couple of options for adding drivers to the team. You can either add real people with real emails or in cases where you do not want to have the real drivers to see your teams data you can either give existing team members driver role or use "virtual drivers" with fake emails.
Please note that when inviting real people as drivers, those people will see all the data in your team.
Adding a new person as a team driver
In this case you want to invite a real person with confirmed email to your team so that they can see all the data in your team.
Go to https://portal.tgr-wrt.com/ and on the left navigation panel click Team.
On Team members tab from top right corner click Invite.
On the form fill invitee's email and name. From roles panel select the role Driver. You can add multiple people in one go by clicking New invite. When you are finished click Send invitation(s).
The new members should now get email invitation for Customer Motorsport Platform.
Adding an existing team member as a team driver
In this case you have already invited a person to your team to work with some other role than driver (i.e. owner, engineer, mechanic or purchaser) and you want them to also be selectable as a driver.
Go to https://portal.tgr-wrt.com/ and on the left navigation panel click Team.
On Team members tab find the person you want to modify and click the pen icon (highlighted with blue border in image below) from right hand side of the row.
This opens up the edit mode for this user. Click on the Roles dropdown.
From the dropdown select the Driver option. Make sure to keep the existing role if you want the user to still have their old role.
Click Save from top right hand side after you are done.
The person will have these roles effective immediately.
Note that the Customer Motorsport Platform will not send email from role changes to the users. It is up to the person changing the roles to notify them.
Adding a virtual driver with fake email
In case where you do not want to invite drivers to the system you can use "virtual drivers" with fake email addresses. TGR-WRT recommends using your own domain name for the end of the email.
Go to https://portal.tgr-wrt.com/ and on the left navigation panel click Team.
On Team members tab from top right corner click Invite.
Important note: you do not need working emails for the following to work. The system lets you use any email address.
Warning: TGR-WRT does not recommend using public email domains like gmail.com or outlook.com as fake email addresses. These email addresses might be taken by third parties and using them may result to you giving people outside your team access to your data. If you are using public domains, please ensure that the addresses you invite belong to your team members.
On the invitation form fill invitee's email in the form virtual.driver@yourdomain.yourcountrycode, where you replace yourdomain.yourcountrycode with the your own domain and country code.
Example: if your email address is frank@bestracingteam.fi, then your virtual driver email should be virtual.driver@bestracingteam.fi.
For first name you can add "Virtual" and for last name you can add "Driver". From roles panel select the role Driver. You can add multiple virtual drivers in one go by clicking New invite. When you are finished click Send invitation(s).
The virtual driver should now be usable as a driver in the system.
